When connecting an external antenna like the Yagi Wide Band Directional Antenna you MUST go into the router and perform the following change or the External Yagi Antenna will have NO EFFECT on signal strength. To change the setting, follow the steps below:
Step 1 - Using your web browser, got to 192.168.100.1 and login using the password. (default was "admin" if it hasn't been changed.)
(***NOTE: for the newer version 2 router, the address is 192.168.1.1 and when you login it may pop up a new tab that you need to close)
Step 2 - Turn the Connection Status to the OFF position.
Step 3 - Click on "Network Settings"
Step 4 - On the left side menu, click on "Antenna"
Step 5 - Click on the pull-down menu and change "Auto" to "External mode"
Step 6 - Click "Apply"
